The relationship betwen the declining trend in the rate of breastfeeding and the triple roles of women - Namely, childbearing/rearing, housekeeping and economic activities is analysed. Working women are classified as those who work either outside or within the home for monetary gain. With Census data as the base, the numbers of working mothers and children (0-2 years) involved in breastfeeding are roughly estimated.
