Abstract

Known as the ‘Father of Nutrition Research in India’ former Director-General of Indian Council of Medical Research, and Director National Institute of Nutrition, Dr. C Gopalan who also started the National Nutrition Monitoring
Bureau made immense contributions to nutrition research in India. He passed away on October 3, 2019 at the age of 101. This lecture was instituted by MSSRF as a tribute to his memory. This booklet documents the first lecture
held in his memory.
